Tea Ceremony of the Eisai-ki
I held a tea ceremony to remember Eisai which is a Buddhist monk of 800 years ago. Eisai a person who went to China of that time for the purpose of learning Buddhism and brought Zen and tea ceremony to Japan. Therefore, in the world of tea ceremony, it is an important person in history, and tea ceremonies will be held in various parts of all over Japan around April 20th, which is the birthday of Eisai. This tea ceremony invited three guests to the tea field in Kagoshima. That season is the time to harvest new tea of that year, and a tea ceremony was held using fresh picked fresh tea.
